Events Assistant Creative Apprenticeship

Big Creative Education (BCE) have been offering advanced apprenticeships in the creative apprenticeships since 2010 to a wide roster of labels, indies and music management companies. Apprenticeships now form an essential part of their core HR strategy, with 83% of our apprentices progressing into employment in the creative sectors.

BCE have combined forces with PF Events in order to create a unique Events Industry apprenticeship offer built around the principles of the level 3 ‘Events Assistant’ apprenticeship
standard. Apprentices will be learning in real time the techniques and strategies relevant to today’s fast paced industry. This will help inaugurate apprentices into your business faster
and more efficiently. BCE and PF Events want to build on this success and offer our events apprenticeship to the whole industry. In the creative industries this is the first partnership of its
kind between an apprenticeship training company and a specialist events company. It means you can have the confidence that your apprentices will be receiving the same quality and level of insights that PF Events offers to its commercial training clients through its specialist training company Cortex Training.

With the growth of music festivals, installations, expos and pop ups, the UK events industry is one of the fastest growing sector in the creative economy. With BCE and PF Events joining forces we
will deliver a cutting edge apprenticeship to meet your needs as an employer for capable and highly motivated events assistants.

Who can be an apprentice?

• Apprentices can be any age including graduates
• We can train teams in-house with you, or individuals with us at BCE
• You can have a new recruit apprentice that BCE helps source. To be eligible they must be aged 16+ and have a minimum of 5 GCSEs A*- C, including Maths and English (4 or above in the
  new GCSE scales)

Apprenticeships provide a great opportunity to bolster your workforce with fresh talent or to up-skill your current employees with relevant industry training.

Our apprenticeship delivery model

Creative Apprenticeship Standards are level 3 apprenticeships (A level equivalent) combining work-based learning with ‘off the job training’. Big Creative and Cortex Training have developed a unique training model that offers our events apprentices the following:

• Monthly tutorials / industry masterclasses
• Online learning platform
• Video 1-1 tutorials
• Access to Cortex Training’s specialist core industry training
• Support from an industry specialist assessor

Delivery sessions will include both in-person workshop format, seminar and via global live webinar or video recordings.
