Established electronic musician Sami Tauber was looking to create an appropriate setup for a live video accompaniment to her live music shows. We were happy to introduce her to an accessible, yet becoming industry-standard tool, in the form of Resolume Avenue.
Although there are strong parallels between Avenue and her chosen production/performance audio application Ableton Live, Sami was fairly new to the world of video and so was introduced not only to the software but also the theory and practical uses of working with video.
Resolume Avenue is a real-time video compositing program which can handle mixing and effecting HD video without any tedious render queue. This makes it a powerful, yet hands-on tool for live shows and is perfect for someone who wants to synchronise video playback to audio.
The cross-platform program is also being widely adopted by the events industry, theatres and churches as a simple, powerful and reliable media server.
