Cortex Training worked with a group of unemployed young people in 2014, training them with basic skills in photography.

The course will facilitated by a local youth project and funded by the Job centre. The premise of the training was to inspire the young people into re-enter full time education or undertake further work based training.

The group learnt how to use photographic equipment, compose and frame photos and how to use software to digitally process photos. The group found the course very enjoyable and learnt about photography and about the work prospects in the wider media industry.
